Diego Milito is reportedly on the verge of completing a move to Argentine club Racing Club. He started his career that before moving to Europe and accomplishing a lot with the likes of Inter Milan.
The 34-year-old is coming to the end of his stellar career, which saw him lift the Champions League with the Inter Milan team of 2010. However, injuries have prevented him from becoming a first-team regular for the club in the last few years. Due to his age, it is highly likely that he will leave the club at the end of the season.
His contract also runs out in a few months’ time and Inter are looking to build for the future. A number of older players in the Inter team are likely to move on. One of them is Walter Samuel, who has represented the club for several years now. The defender has stated that Milito has been trying to convince him to join Racing Club in the summer. Milito has not made his next destination public yet, but this latest statement from Samuel to the nederland australie odds website is likely to confirm his move back to Argentina. His fellow countryman Samuel is also likely to leave Inter at the end of the season.
Samuel has featured in only 10 league matches this season.
“Diego Milito is trying to convince me to go with Racing. He supports that team and always watches their games. I am more identified with Boca Juniors and Newell’s. He is known with his club and when he can he talks to me about them. I am going to play for one more year. I have spoken to my family and I am interested in continuing, I don’t care where. I still have to talk with Inter and tell them what I think,” said the defender.
